Using air purifiers for effective odor reduction often requires a specialized air cleaner, and a some research into what the smell is made of that needs to be removed. Most household odors, including musty basement and pet smells, are usually composed of VOC’s or volatile organic compounds that create the odors when those chemical compounds become airborne. And keep in mind that odors aren’t just smells—they are chemical compounds in the air that can damage your health and make you, your family, guests and pets uncomfortable. So, it makes sense that if the majority of odors we smell are composed of VOC’s, you would need an odor absorber air purifier system that is good for eliminating and controlling VOC’s.
